Helmholtzplatz is located in the east area of Prenzlauer Berg (Pankow
district) and is the central square of the Raumer-, Lychener- and
Dunckerstrasse.
It makes up the central square of the Helmholtz neighborhood and
is named after the physicist Hermann von Helmholtz.
Surrounded by trees and historic buildings, the popular park functions
as an important recreational spot for the approximate 20,000 residents
